Meet the Guys:

Zane Sutton (Tenor) - Zane is, always has been, and always will be, the youngest member of the quartet.  Although he’s originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Zane attended high school in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was a section leader and dance captain for the award-winning showchoir “West in the Groove”.  High school was also where Zane first got into barbershop, singing lead with The Four Chordsmen.  After high school, Zane took his talents to El Dorado, Kansas, where he attended Butler Community College, and was part of another award-winning showchoir, The Headliners.  Zane’s love for barbershop grew as he sang lead with the Smorgaschords in 2011.  Zane has been a member of two district champion choruses, Central Standard (Metro Kansas City) and the SmorgasChorus (South Central Kansas), which he has also previously served as tenor section leader and board member. Zane loves a few other things besides barbershop, most notably Rocky IV, Kansas City Chiefs football, and Kansas City Royals baseball.  He appreciates a good beard, and is very proud of his own. Home is now Denver, North Carolina, where Zane resides with his wife Kelsey and dogs, Coach & Riggs.  Zane & Kelsey are also very excited to be welcoming their first child later this summer!

Caleb Fouse (Lead) - Caleb takes credit for bringing BoomTown together, as he knew each of the other guys before any of the rest of them knew each other.  Caleb started singing barbershop as a high school student in Rose Hill, Kansas, where he sang baritone with his first quartet Four Guys (clever, right?).  After graduation, he headed to Butler Community College to become a member of The Headliners, a nationally-known showchoir.  While at Butler, two things happened that changed Caleb’s life forever: he met his beautiful wife Mandy (also a Headliner), and he became the lead of the Smorgaschords.  That’s when his love and passion for barbershop music took over and grew.  In 2007, Caleb sang on the International stage for the first time at the collegiate level.  After Butler, Caleb sang both lead and baritone (not at the same time) with 7th Floor, and baritone with Audio Avenue (again hitting the International stage).  Caleb is a graduate of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.  He and his wife Mandy live outside of Wichita with their son Beckham, daughter Parker, and their two dogs, and spend most of their time watching Food Network and Wichita State basketball. Basically, living the American dream.

Aaron Walker (Baritone) - Aaron is arguably the best-looking member of the quartet, but without a doubt has the best hair.  Originally from Leavenworth, Kansas, Aaron currently calls Olathe, Kansas home, along with his lovely wife, Kayla.  Aaron and Kayla met at Butler Community College, where they were both members of The Headliners from 2006-2008.  While at Butler, Aaron was introduced to barbershop, singing lead with 7th Floor.  After leaving Butler, Aaron attended Johnson County Community College, where he studied Information Technology, and currently works in the field.  Aaron also sang lead with Audio Avenue, a collegiate quartet, and qualified to sing on the International stage in Anaheim, California in 2009.  When he’s not singing with BoomTown, Aaron can be found at Arrowhead Stadium watching the Chiefs play and drooling over Patrick Mahomes, or playing basketball, guitar, or video games.  Also, probably admiring those dimples in the mirror (we’re guessing).  Aaron and Kayla are excited to have welcomed their little girl, Zoe, in December 2019!

Shaun Whisler (Bass) - Shaun is a 2005 graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance, and is currently the full-time Director of Music at Corpus Christi Catholic Parish in Lawrence, KS.  Shaun grew up in Olathe, Kansas developing his passion for music, singing, and directing as a member of the 1995 ACDA National Honor Boys Choir and the 1998 SWACDA Men’s Honor Choir. In addition to his involvement in the music department at KU, Shaun sang for the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Civic Opera of Kansas City, and even had the chance to sing on the stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Shaun spent his downtime singing in a collegiate barbershop quartet named Random Harmony, which was among the top-ranked college quartets in the world. Since graduating from KU, he has built his professional resume directing church and barbershop choral groups and performing regionally as a soloist and part of ensembles.  He was fortunate enough to win the CSD Collegiate Quartet Championship in 2006 with Against the Grain and the CSD Quartet Championship in 2011 with Voices Unlimited. In his free time, Shaun and wife, Janelle, enjoy hiking, watching any local sporting event, and relaxing with family. However, time to relax has been rare since they welcomed two beautiful daughters, Brooke and Brilee, and son Brett, in the past few years.  A fun fact about Shaun: unlike the other three members of BoomTown, Shaun was not in showchoir. But ask him to dance for you anyway....he's really good.
